Honey with comb is raw honey presented with sections of the natural beeswax honeycomb intact. The nutritional profile of the honey is identical to regular honey (primarily fructose and glucose), and the beeswax comb itself is not digested and passes through the gut unchanged. The comb is edible and adds texture, but provides no meaningful additional nutrition. As with all honey, it must not be given to infants under 12 months.
The honeycomb can be eaten whole — the wax is safe to consume and passes through the digestive system harmlessly. Spread on bread or cheese, or break pieces into cheese boards. Store at room temperature away from moisture to prevent crystallisation.
